19 October 2015 Kawasaki clinch British Manufacturers Championship

Kawasaki has clinched the British Manufacturers Championship at the final round of the MCE British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch, just weeks after securing the World Manufacturers Championship. The crown is Kawasaki's fourth consecutive Manufacturers title in recent seasons.
With the Superstock 1000 and 600 Championships tied up at Silverstone by Josh Elliott and Mason Law, the pressure was off – however, both riders finished their seasons on the podium.

It was a 1-2-3 finish in the Superstock 600 race for Kawasaki riders with Tarran Mackenzie taking first place, followed by Mason Law and Andrew Irwin.

Superstock 1000 Championship winner, Josh Elliott, finished his season in style by bagging first place in the race with fellow Team Green member, James East from Downshift Motorsport Kawasaki behind him in second place.

Northern-Irish rider, Glenn Irwin took third place in race two of the Supersport and was just 0.585 seconds behind the second place finisher.

There was podium success in the superbike class too with PBM Kawasaki rider – and 2014 BSB Champion – Shane Byrne, taking second place in race one and two and third in race three. JG Speedfit rider, James Ellison took to the second step of the podium in race two.

Ross Burridge, Senior Racing and Marketing Co-ordinator, said: “All the podiums this weekend were a fantastic way to end the year – and to clinch the manufacturers championship again is great. It’s been a great year for track-based Team Green and I want to say a massive thanks to all the teams and riders.

“A big thanks too to Paul Bird, Shakey and the PBM team for all their hard work over the last four years and I’d like to wish them the best of luck for 2016. Thanks for the two BSB Championships guys.

“We’re already looking ahead to the 2016 racing season and hope to build on the great results we’ve achieved this year.”
