In what could be described as ‘the form of his life’ right now, Anstie’s not just been content with impressing on the world-stage, but has dominated the Maxxis British Motocross Championship too, winning nearly every round of the series, with no-less than 12 race wins to his name and leading it with just two rounds to go.
Son of former World MX rider Mervyn Anstie, Winchester-born Max is just 46 points away from the red plate in World MX2 and leads the British series by a comfortable 23 point margin.
Ross Burridge, Senior Racing and Marketing Co-ordinator, said: “Max is riding incredibly well across all types of track – and to be winning Grands Prix in his first year back on a Kawasaki and in the Dixon Racing Team’s first ever year with the brand is some achievement. The World MX2 Championship is not out of reach and to even come close along with his success in Britain would make for an amazing season! We wish him all the best for the remaining rounds of the Championship.” After a relentless schedule of Grand Prix events and Maxxis British Championship fixtures, Monster Energy DRT Kawasaki can now catch their breath as the calendar pressure eases for the next two weeks. MXGP builds up again with consecutive races in Italy and Holland starting on the 22-23 of August.
There’s the chance to ride on track with Max and try out the latest KX machines at our Team Green Try-out day on Monday 17 August – book your place
