In a show of strength and commitment to the Kawasaki Motors UK official MX squad, Maxxis have doubled their support and given them the opportunity to seek the very best riders and support staff according to team principle, Steve James.
“Next year will be the tenth year of Maxxis being the official title sponsor to the ACU British Motocross Championship and understandably they would like a Maxxis rider to be one of the main contenders. With the riders that are coming into the championship, plus the riders already present, it is going to be very tough to win but we’re sure that with the right rider selections and team support structure we will produce title contenders.
Next year the team name will change to reflect the commitment from our long term partner and become Maxxis Kawasaki by L.P.E. I am equally pleased to say we will still keep all the rest of our loyal sponsors in place, and whether large or small they will all play a vital part in the success of the team.” Using the widely praised KX450F as their base machine, the team are aiming justifiably high in 2013 with a planned three man assault on both the Maxxis British Championship and the Red Bull Pro Nationals. And with some of the major parts of the jig-saw in place so early, principle team sponsor Maxxis are optimistic, as Managing Director, Derek McMartin, explains.
“I don’t think anyone can doubt our overall commitment and investment in UK off-road sport. With so many riders now adopting and recommending Maxxis tyres, it is only natural we would see our natural target as success in the British Championship that we enjoy the title sponsorship of; as well as the hotly contested Red Bull Pro Nationals.
Steve James and the team have given their full commitment, support and loyalty over the past five years and that is something we value. Now our investment has substantially increased, the team now has the structure, paddock presence and budget to attract the very best riders. We wish them well in their choices and, like fans everywhere, eagerly anticipate the 2013 rider announcements”.See more news plus add your own comments, on the
