26 March 2012 Positive Kawasaki Bol d'Or test

After two days of testing in Magny-Cours, the French Kawasaki SRC Endurance team faces the
first race of the 2012 World Endurance Championship season with confidence.
With the same line up as last year’s podium finishing team of Julien da Costa, Grégory Leblanc and Olivier Four, the French equipe has achieved a consistent testing programme on tyre strategy, electronic mapping and fuel consumption in their preparations for the next Bol d'Or 24H race.

Gilles Stafler , Team Manager for SRC - who clocked up an amazing 808 laps for the second place spot last year - is pleased about this private test session: "I'm really satisfied about the job done by the riders and all the technical staff. We had a lot of new tyres to test and the new Pirelli makes a huge difference.

Julien and Gregory were two of the fastest riders on the track during day one and day two and it seems that the new Pirelli front tyre suits our Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R very well. Olivier and Émeric, our spare rider for the Bol d'Or race, worked on limiting fuel consumption with a new tank and they have given a lot of very useful information to the team.

My main problem now concerns the weather conditions. We were close to summer conditions during these two days in Magny-Cours and I hope that it will not be too much different for the race itself."
